The Immigration Society of Newberry, S.C., is prepared to furnish the country with field laborers and mechanics

Announcing charges of the society to supply foreign laborers as field hands and mechanics during Reconstruction-era; listing expenses for seasonal hire of a laborer,or an entire immigrant family, with rates for travel expenses for workers coming from New York to any point on the South Carolina and Greenville and Columbia Rail Road; and offering suggestions to improve labor relations. Officers of the society include F.W. Bruggemann, General Agent of the Society; Rev. T[haddeus] S[treet] Boinest, president; Silas Johnstone, Secretary; and B.L.McCaughrin, treasurer.
