The Dr. G. Wayne King Slide Collection contains 105 slides of late nineteenth and early twentieth century Florence. The slides were collected by Dr. G. Wayne King (1939-2008), a professor of history, who retired from Francis Marion University. The majority of the slides depict street scenes and buildings of downtown Florence, South Carolina
